Army

The Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) is required to be taken by a Soldier at least twice a year. Cadets that are members of the Raider team must also take the APFT as part of the Raider competition. There are three events that they are scored: Push-ups, sit-ups and a timed two mile run.

Minimum scores to gain 50 points


JROTC 

The JROTC Physical Fitness test is referred to as the Cadet Challenge. Cadets are required to complete five events and there is one optional one. The events are as followed sit-ups, one mile run, V-Sit Reach , Shuttle Run, and Pull-ups or Flex-arm hang. Cadet can qualify for two awards the Presidential Physical Fitness award (PPFA) or the National Physical Fitness (NPFA) awards. To earn the PPFA you must score at least an 85% in each event and for the NPFA you must score at least a 50% in each event. The Cadet Challenge scoring is similar to how the Army scores because it goes by age and gender.
